Install Tensona

One command. It installs the CLI to ~/.tensona, wires up the agents already on your machine — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf and friends — and never writes a file inside your repositories.

Before you run it

Node.js 22.18 or newer. The CLI runs TypeScript directly on Node — no build step, no dependencies. The installer checks and tells you if yours is too old. (If you run Claude Code, you already have it.)
git, because Tensona attaches to repositories — a project maps your clone and your teammate’s clone to one shared memory by their git remote.

Then, three steps

Create a project

Sign up at app.tensona.ai and create a project. You get an API key — shown once, so copy it. Teammates don’t share it: invite them from Settings and each gets their own.

Connect a repository

cd into the repo and run tensona config. It asks for the key the first time, confirms the path with you, and indexes the repo. Nothing activates in repositories you haven’t opted in.

Work as normal

Open Claude Code, Codex or your IDE in that repo exactly as before. What one agent learns — the fix, the dead end, the decision — every teammate’s agent reads back. tensona status shows the wiring any time.

Uninstall with tensona uninstall — it removes everything from this machine and touches nothing on the server. Update with tensona update. What leaves your machine, and what deliberately never does, is spelled out in the privacy policy.
